Why Homba exists
Moving into a first apartment usually means furnishing every room at once, on one budget, with no real sense of what will fit or what things should cost. You end up measuring in one tab, comparing prices in five others, and hoping the sofa makes it through the door. Homba turns that into one plan you can trust: every piece measured, priced, and checked before you buy anything.
Who we are
Homba is built by a small team based in Berkeley, California.
How Homba makes money
Homba is free to use. When you buy something through one of our links, the retailer may pay us a commission. That's how we earn, and it never changes the price you pay.
We don't sell furniture. You buy each item directly from the retailer, who handles payment, shipping, and returns. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
How we pick products
Every plan starts with three things: your room's measurements, your total budget, and your style.
- Fit. Every item has to fit the room and leave enough space to walk around it. We check this against real measurements, not guesses.
- Budget. The whole room has to come in under the one number you set.
- Style. The pieces have to work together and match the style you chose.
- Real products only. We only use real, in-stock items with verified dimensions, so everything in your plan is something you can actually buy.
Plans are built on fit, budget, and style. We only include products from retailers we have affiliate relationships with, and commissions never change your price. You can see how this looks in our sample plans.
Where we are
Homba is in development and launching soon. Our guides are live now, and early-access members will be the first to try the app.
